Hanoi Experience
Day 1: Explore the way of local life and experience local food
We started Hanoi Experience by taking a good morning tour first. At six o’clock, our group met at the lobby of Silk Queen Hotel for the trip. We then walked toward the heart of Hanoi capital, Hoan Kiem Lake. Here we could see and joined morning activities of local people such as playing badminton, shuttle cock and Tai Chi.
In the afternoon, we strolled around the Old and French Quarters to see how people live and stopped to try some Hanoi local specialties.
In the evening, our group watched puppet show which came from North Vietnam’s countryside along the Red River Delta. The show reflects rural living and their spirit wishes
Day 2: Visit the historical sites in Hanoi Capital
In the morning: our driver took us to Museum of Ethnology which gave us an insight into diversity of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam. After spending a couple of hours here, we drove to the Koto restaurant for lunch. Koto is also a charity center and makes a vocational training program which supports disadvantaged youth.
In the afternoon: we continued to visit the Temple of Literature, one of the most popular places. It was here the first Vietnam’s university was established in 1076. Though it is no longer a school, many students come here to pray for good luck in examinations and for their future. Many important events of the nation, organizations and schools take place. Afterwards, we spend time visiting Hoa Lo prison, one of the highest security prisons in Indochina. The French built this prison at the end of 19 century.
