Day 1
Saigon – Mekong delta (L, D)
Mekong Trip starts from Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon). You will be picked up at your hotel for the transfer to Vinh Long. On arrival, we will visit Vinh Long traditional market. We then embark on a tour exploring Mekong river and the way of life on the delta. The first day, we will visit a local workshop making rice paper, coconut candy and pop rice. You also have the chance to see how bricks and potteries are produced. Stay overnight on a nice home-stay on An Binh island.
Day 2
Mekong – Saigon (B)
Morning, we will travel along canals by rowing boat and visit Cai Be floating market. Your guide will then take you on a walking or cycling tour on Tan Phong island. On the way you will have the opportunity to see how people make netted rice paper, dried water hyacinth goods, and sew coconut leaves roofs. After interesting morning activities, we will disembark at Cai Be pier. Here our bus will transfer us back to Ho Chi Minh City. End of Mekong Trip.
