North Vietnam Tour – A 7-day great North Vietnam journey

Day 1
Hanoi arrival
Welcome to North Vietnam Tour. On arrival, we will be greeting at Noi Bai airport before transferring you to your hotel. Afterwards, your guide will take you on a walking tour to explore the Old and French Quarters.
Day 2
Hanoi – City Tour (B, L)
Morning, we will drive to Bat Trang (approximately 15 km from Hanoi center). Here your guide will take you to explore this famous ceramic village. Afternoon, return to the center for lunch before visiting the attractive sites including Tran Quoc pagoda, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum exterior, and Temple of Literature.
Day 3
Hanoi – Mai Chau (B, L, D)
Today, we travel to Mai Chau, home to Thai ethnic group. Stop en-route to visit Muong tribe and admire the spectacular view of Mai Chau valley from Thung Khe Pass. On arrival, after refreshments and freshening up, take on a walking/cycling tour to explore the beautiful valley. Meals are prepared by local people.
Day 4
Mai Chau – Ninh Binh (B, L)
This morning, we will drive to Ninh Binh (approx.3 hours). On arrival, we will do some interesting activities including taking a rowboat through a beautiful cave, exploring an amazing Galaxy Grotto, cycling or walking along scenic routes in countryside. Stay overnight in Ninh Binh.
Day 5
Ninh Binh (B, L)
Today we will discover the most popular places in Ninh Binh: Bai Dinh Buddhist Temple Complex (one of the biggest pagodas in Vietnam), Hoa Lu Ancient Capital (from 968 to 1010), Van Long Natural Reserve.
Day 6
Ninh Binh – Halong Bay (B, L, D)
After breakfast, we will travel to Halong Bay. On arrival, boarding for the cruise trip in the amazing Bay with exciting activities: cruising through limestone islands, exploring the Cave, swimming and kayaking. Stay overnight on board.
Day 7
Halong Bay – Hanoi/airport (B, L)
Morning, we will have more opportunity to further explore this World Heritage Site of Halong Bay. Disembark around noon for the transfer to Hanoi or Noi Bai airport for your next journey. End of North Vietnam Tour

Destinations on the North Vietnam Tour
– Hanoi is one of the largest centers of economy, education and culture in Vietnam. As the capital of a thousand year, Hanoi has retained many interesting cultural and historic monuments.
– Mai Chau is a beautiful valley, approx. 140 km from Hanoi. Here Thai ethnic people have been living for many generations in several villages which are surrounded by paddy fields and hills.
– Hoa Lu, former national capital, is famous for historic monuments and natural sites. Two main temples were built here in honor of the first kings who established Dai Co Viet, former name of Vietnam.
– Halong Bay has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New 7 Wonders of The World. It is situated in Northeastern Vietnam covering 1553 sqkm with over 1900 islands and islets.
